“What Now” Repair Procedure

 

  • Locate desired area for new drain field
  • Septic design engineer conducts soils testing, generates written soils test report, and septic design
  • Estimate for project will be provided
  • Once estimate is approved, Douglas County Septic will complete permit application and submission to the local county health department for new installation or repair(s)
  • Upon issuance of repair permit, installation process may begin
  • Douglas County Septic will schedule installation & utility locates will be scheduled 
  • Local county health department will inspect & approve system installation and or  repair(s) 
  • System will be backfilled and graded appropriately and any new seeding of the area is done. 
  • Permit is completed by local health department or septic engineer and provided to property owner and installer
